Inpatient Department

IPD Services

SS Hospital’s Inpatient Department (IPD) is designed to provide maximum comfort, safety, and continuous medical supervision for patients requiring hospitalization. Our 80-bed facility is fully equipped to handle post-operative care, intensive chemotherapy, and palliative support.

A Healing Environment

Recovery requires both advanced medical intervention and a supportive environment. Our IPD wards are spacious, strictly sanitized, and designed to offer a peaceful atmosphere. A dedicated nursing team with specialized training in oncology care is stationed 24/7 on every floor.

Inpatient Facilities

  • 80-bed capacity dedicated entirely to comprehensive cancer care.
  • A variety of room choices: General Wards, Semi-Private, and Private Rooms to suit different patient needs.
  • State-of-the-art Chemotherapy Day-Care Unit equipped with recliner beds and entertainment screens.
  • Highly monitored High-Dependency Unit (HDU) and ICU for post-operative patients.
  • Centralized oxygen and vacuum pipelines for every bed.

Visiting Hours & Guidelines

  • Morning Slot: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Evening Slot: Monday to Saturday, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Only one attendant is permitted to stay overnight to ensure patient rest and infection control.
  • Children under 12 are generally advised against visiting ward areas for their own safety.

We believe in holistic healing. Therefore, alongside physicians and nurses, clinical nutritionists, physiotherapists, and palliative-care specialists conduct daily rounds in the IPD. For family members needing a place to stay, we offer the 'Gharonda' attendant accommodation just steps away from the hospital.
